How would nature grow a skyscraper?
Imagine if you could plant a seed that would grow into a building. How would it form? GROW is a response to this question. Nature creates complexity by building on simplicity. This skyscraper grows out of the earth searching for sun, wind, and water. These environmental forces mold the building as an artist would mold clay. The building tapers for stability, the form rotates to collect sunlight and capture the wind for power, and splits to deploy fabric sails to collect fog. The fog condenses to water, which is transported to plants between the double glass walls on each side of the building. The incoming air is cleaned by the plants thus creating a giant filter for the city.
