The Golden Duplex was a noteworthy multi-family project for a budding F9 Productions back in 2013, marking their first collaborative win. Situated in Golden, Colorado, this project presented a unique challenge as it was developed on a site that had an existing concrete basement, a remnant from a previous plan disrupted by the recession. F9 Productions capitalized on this foundation to create a distinctive floor plan and exterior design that fit the pre-existing footprint.

Client Drivers & Unique Features:

  • Adaptive Design: The site already had a concrete basement intended for a different plan. F9 Productions creatively adapted their design to utilize this existing structure, ensuring efficient use of resources and space.

  • Unique Floor Plan and Exterior Design: The duplex features a unique floor plan and exterior design tailored to the specific site conditions and existing basement layout.

Floor Plan Notes:

1st Floor:

    • Open Kitchen, Living, Dining: The ground floor features an open-plan design, combining the kitchen, living room, and dining area into a cohesive and spacious environment. This layout promotes a sense of openness and fluidity, perfect for modern living.

2nd Floor:

    • Three Bedrooms: The second-floor houses three bedrooms, providing ample sleeping space for residents. The design ensures privacy and comfort for each bedroom.
