Our architects at F9 Productions designed the Garrison Group Home specifically for individuals with memory care needs, providing a supportive and homely environment for its 16 residents. The design emphasizes a single-family home atmosphere, ensuring comfort, accessibility, and community engagement. The main floor features an open floor plan surrounded by clusters of four bedrooms, allowing for natural light and privacy when needed.
Client Drivers & Unique Features:
- Community and Interaction: The design fosters social interactions and by-chance encounters, scaling spaces from public to private. Tall ceilings in communal areas and shorter ceilings in bedrooms create a sense of openness and intimacy.
- Accessibility: The design prioritizes accessibility, with clear and defined entrances, easy navigation, and ample floor area to accommodate wheelchairs and people with disabilities. Utilitarian design principles ensure the space is functional and safe for the elderly community.

- Wood-Framed: The building utilizes wood framing with timber-framed gable end trusses at entry points, adding a touch of traditional architecture while maintaining durability.
