By combining five 40ft long “High Cube” shipping containers and elevating them on a web of steel stilts, this project provides expansive views of the Rocky Mountains in Breckenridge, Colorado. Large windows and sliding glass doors are placed along the long edge of the shipping containers, opening up to a spacious deck that focuses the gaze on the surrounding peaks. With a large master suite and bunk rooms that accommodate 4 additional beds, this modular home creates a perfect mountain retreat.”
Unique Shipping Container House in Breckenridge Colorado
F9 Productions recently completed the design of an innovative and one-of-a-kind custom home in Breckenridge Colorado made entirely out of shipping containers. This custom home totals 1,600 square feet of finished space hovering over a two-car carport and entailing three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and an open and spacious kitchen, living, and dining area. The front of the home is also flanked by a 562 square foot deck that serves as an intermediate space between the natural and built environment.

The large master suite and bunk rooms also accommodate 4 additional beds making this modular built home a perfect mountain retreat.
This project marks the second shipping container related projects for the Colorado based design firm. The first of which was the corporate offices and headquarters for Eldorado Climbing Walls of Louisville Colorado. The main difference between the two projects being that the shipping container home is an exterior use of shipping containers in architecture contrasted with the interior use of them in the Eldorado project. The firm expects construction to begin in the summer of 2022 and completion occur in early 2023.
